Now in our 18th year, the Saltburn WellBeing Centre was born out of a desire to create well-being services based on the needs of the people who use them. Whilst working as a counsellor in a local hospital, Kathryn Thompson, the founder of the centre noticed that common problems appeared to be social isolation and services which were focused more on ticking boxes than on the actual needs of the people themselves.
The WellBeing Centre (Saltburn) CIC, is a Community Interest Company that provides a combination of project funded and private services around the theme of looking after ourselves holistically and helping people to develop tools to manage and maintain their health and well-being.
The WellBeing Centre prides itself in having something for everyone and has everything from Well-being courses for employees, counselling services, complementary therapies, stress management, to services of a more spiritual nature including development circles, mediumship, yoga, meditation and spiritual healing. We also have a library & gift vouchers for many of our services are also available to purchase.
Our clientele range from individual members of the public to corporations who entrust the welfare and wellbeing of their staff to us. Since opening our doors in 2007, the Well-Being Centre Community has grown and people often comment about the friendly atmosphere here, many good friendships have been forged through Centre connections. Unlike many other main stream service providers, currently we do not have a waiting list and can offer our Clientele, immediate access to help and service provision.
People contact us for many reasons ranging from physical and mental health related issues to purchasing gift vouchers for Complimentary Therapies available, whilst others wishing to explore spirituality contact us about spiritual courses and workshops run by experienced and qualified practitioners.
We love to hear from people about services that they would like to see. The Centre offers free opportunities to come and discuss your needs and in many cases project funded services are available through our Community Interest Company.
Look out for our regular updates in our Calendar of Events and don't hesitate to get in touch for further information or to book an appointment. We look forward to welcoming you to our Centre.
Our small WellBeing Centre shop, 'Creative Spirit' is currently closed. The shop stocks all kinds of gift ideas including crystals, candle holders, oils, incense sticks, handmade jewellery, clothing, signs and vouchers. The gifts are sourced to be a little different, so if you're looking for a present for someone special or yourself, take a look?
